Saba Dashtyari, The Great History maker... by (Shaneela Baloch Kech)

It is widely believed that in this world, there were and are a great number of people who have got glittering space in the gorgeous pages of history due to their stimulating contributions to the world. Their works which look surprising to people, will never be discarded from the worth-while pages of history. It is also an axiomatic truth that a number of audacious personalities laid down their precious lives for the advancement and the prosperity of their nations by embracing the shroud of martyrdom. Really, these personalities are immortal. Similarly, one can grasp the fact that The Great Saba Dashtyari is also one of the immortal personalities. He even had no fear to lose his precious life which he devoted for marginalized Baloch. Saba Dashtyari, who raised the banner of Baloch, was the shining star in the gloomy night; He was the personality who was profoundly engaged in making gallant effort for the national identity of Baloch, and progression in Balochi and Balochistan.
He could speak several languages, such as Balochi, Sindhi, Pashtu, pure Lakhnowi Urdu, English, Arabic, Persian and Jadgali. Additionally, it is a source of pride to mention that he had a glittering name in literary field because he penned down Balochi poems, worthwhile short stories, and essential articles. Conspicuously, he was the literary person who was engrossed in researching and pioneering new things as well as doing criticism. Moreover, it is widely known that respectable Saba was the greatest linguist after Sayad Zahoor Shah Hashmi because he made hectic efforts for the amazing development of the fascinating Balochi language. In probability, if we have an interlace over Sayad Reference Library, we will definitely be able to utter that it is one of his everlasting efforts where one can get every kind of books related to Baloch, Balochi and Balochistan.
Similarly, the Balochi course books which are being taught in every nook and cranny of Balochistan are founded by Sayad Reference library. Presumably, Saba had written a large number of books such as: ‘phalsafa e islam o unaan’, in 1985, ‘gulkar o chakan kar’, 1990, ‘hon  hosham’, in 1994, ‘mutalea e phalsafa’, in 1993, ‘Balochi zuban e hakebat, the first edition, in 1995, and the second one in 1998, ‘angaren wahag’ in 1999, ‘gungodamen sar zameen’, 1996, ‘be tawariye darya’ in 2002,’aas o aseb’ and ‘nimdiani droth’.
Moreover, it is worth-mentioning that Saba was a professor of Balochistan University where he taught Islamic philosophy as well as Balochi. Actually, he was not just a teacher but a father to every student. And, no words are enough to praise his enthusiastic character.
Besides this, he played a pivotal role in Balochistan highlighting the annihilation of national identity of Baloch. To awaken Baloch youth about their national identity, he actively took part in B S O (azad) rallies, strikes, circles, lectures and many more. It is imperative to say that Saba was so brave that he always spoke out openly for freedom of Balochistan. Therefore, he was gunned down in broad daylight owing to speaking out openly. The political boundary could not bear the presence of such personality and martyred “The teacher of national freedom”, and “Kandeel-e-Baloch” Saba Dashtyari in Quetta on 1 June, 2011.
